The precept is the funding used to run the Parish Council. It is paid for by residents in the village via their Council Tax bills.

At our January meeting we agreed to ask for a precept of £8,000 for 2024-2025 precept. 

This will likely be an annual charge of £62.67 for a Band D property, compared to their charge of £45.08 for 2023-2024 (an annual increase of £17.59, or £1.47 per month). 

You will see that the percentage increase of the Parish Council element is significant. However,  from a monetary perspective this equates to an increase of between £1 and £3 per month depending on the Council Tax band of each property.
