The Parish Clerks of Laxfield, Dennington, Badingham, Brundish, Saxtead, Tannington, Worlingworth, and Framlingham are all being asked to invite their Councillors and Parishioners to an Energy Event being held on the 3rd December 2019 in the Dennington Jubilee Village Hall between 10am and Midday.

This Energy event has evolved after speaking to various Parish Councils in Suffolk regarding the Warmer Homes Project and the urgency to find those that need the help to access the funds and support that is available.  The Warmer Homes project particularly has in mind those more vulnerable within the community who financially need support and assistance with their energy/fuel supplies and we would strongly encourage that any friends or relations currently aware, or supporting, anyone who may be within the catchment area to bring them along.

There are various ways for us to help and I am happy to discuss this further with the parish council at a meeting beforehand, should they wish to hear in more detail.  Meantime I would ask that everyone is made aware of this date so that they might be able to signpost people they know, or indeed want help themselves.  To that end I have attached flyers for the event, to use in whatever format is easiest for them, be it the local newspaper or social media, it can then be advertised extensively.  Also an energy leaflet with some ideas of how broadly people can be helped.

When discussing this with other Parish Clerks they have also suggested the local District/Parish and County Cllrs be invited to attend too, so helping to support any parishioners with issues they may have regarding their parish directly.  This of course is completely up to you and I will leave it to your discretion regarding any individual invitations, but as said, we intend for this to be an open event for the whole community.

We will also have our free Ferrules and Slipper exchanges on the day, along with thermostats and carbon monoxide alarms to help give an all-round getting ready warm and safe for winter approach..

I can of course be contacted at any time should you wish to discuss anything further, or have questions, just email or call.

With many thanks.

Annette
