Saxtead Windmill sails are set in mourning

Thank you to the Sullivan Family for providing the following information:

Mill Wright Tim Wighting has advised us about the protocol for windmill sails during a period of National Mourning for our beloved Queen Elizabeth.

You will notice the sails are slightly offset--this is the sign of mourning.

An offset in the opposite direction is a sign of rejoicing.

No offset is a sign of a Day of Rest or distress on a working day.

At all other times the Windmill is free to turn in the wind.
