Saxtead's new community defibrillator has now been installed at the entrance to Windmill Lodges, which is within the 1 mile maximum radius of most points of the village.

Lisa Handley, the landowner and project manager, attended the opening with Michael Sharman from the Townlands Trust and George Cullingford, Chairman of Saxtead Parish Council.

Saxtead Parish Council provided training for 12 residents on how to use the machine. The training was well received, but the Parish Council are keen to highlight that you do NOT need to be trained to use the machine. In an emergency, call 999. The call handler will give you the access code for the cabinet and the defibrillator will talk you through the instructions for use.
